What is wrong with Walmart shoppers??

Wow second post in a day, something must be wrong with me. Actually this isn’t really a post its more of a rant, about Walmart shoppers. I think that there must be some sort of brain numbing ray that turns people into complet and utter idiots. People just wander around in some sort of haze, they block isles run into each other, cut people off and leave their carts blocking traffing, both pedestrian and automobile. I hope its just something about Walmart that makes people do stupid things because man if it isn’t I fear greatly for my country. Also speaking of country I have come up with a way to support the war and the troops. Basically the government will allow people to sign up for a special sticker that is very noticeable. The sticker adds a special tax of 50 cents a gallon to the price of gas. That special tax is funneled to the troops and their familys. So anyone who has this sticker is supporting the troops, instead of wandering around wasting gas and holding stupid signs, come on people what are signs going to do. They look nice on TV but they don’t pay for rehabilitation costs or artificial limbs. So thats what people can do to support the troops.

Help me, the statesman is after me!!!

Holy Crap! I have been called 3 times this morning by the Statesman, I am assuming that they want me to sign up for their paper, I really don’t know what they want because everytime I see their id flash across the caller id I pick up the phone and slam it down really hard. You think that they would learn and stop bothering me. You would think that but you would be wrong. Well having a new phone number was nice while it lasted. Thank the lord for Caller Id. So Kimmy has started school. Her first day was on Wednesday, and then on Thursday morning she had an 8 0′clock class, she did look nice though as you can see from the picture.

Well right now she is off shopping for a piano with Daddy A. He is going to donate a baby grand to the church, so she left me all alone and headed off to Georgetown. I am amusing myself mainly by slamming the phone on telemarketers and reading the Diamond Age. It is another book by Neal Stephenson; and I like it. Very interesteing a postcyberpunk setting according to the back of the book. I like it cuz the story is interesting. It has victorian’s in it and well lets face it cool technology that kills people. Speaking of cool technology go check this out.

Well other than Kimmy starting school we are still stuck in the same old same old kind of rut. Later today a few friends, the wife, and me are going to head down to San Marcos and go jump into the river. Its a hot enough day for it, although the forcast says its only going to be 102 degrees, not counting the heat index. I think that God must slowly be trying to fry Texas. Can’t blame him though, I saw a Rick Perry 2008 bumpersticker. I might would vote for him as president if the incarnate of all evil and stupidity was running against him; might being the key word.

Edit: how come there are no websites devoted to repeating pineapple cannons?

Not much is happening…

Well not a lot is happening, I am goofin off and watching Kim watch so you think you can dance. Yesterday was kind of fun because work got hit by a virus and it crashed the network; today was a bit more busy. Also had to go out and help fix Stacie’s tire. She had a chunk of it pop off down in Kyle, so dad and i went down and helped her change it. Speaking of the wretch she has been staying with Kimmy and me this week, which is a good thing. Both Kimmy and her have each other to hang with. I have also decide to take it upon myelf to find Stacie a boyfriend. So if you have someone you don’t like send me thier name and phone number. And if your reading this Stacie I love you bunches.

Its a slow day at work and I am reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra

So I am at work, and thankfully the day is slow enough that i can actually get a little bored. To alleviate this incredible boredome I am reading a bit of philosophy. Made it to section three of thus spoke Zarthustra, it is an interesting section, states believe not those who speak to you of otherworldly hopes! Poisoners are they, whether they know it or not. Makes Nietzsche kind of a materialist, and not just the greedy kind, here is reality and this is what you get. Kind of matrixesq (look i made up a new word) if you think about it. Takes a big step away from Plato, not to mention the entire christian faith. Which is weird because in the next paragraph he references God. I have the suspicion that what he is trying to say is that the physical here and now matters and how we act here is what kind of people we are, and that we shouldn’t focus on the future and heaven because they either don’t exist or have no bearing/input on our life. As a side interesting note, it means that man and over-man are the same physical thing, but on another level they are compeletly different. Man is a bridge and overman is a goal. Materialistic in so many ways yet strangely spiritual.

Well we got moved, and found a place for everything

Well it has been a while since I last updated, we got moved, and we have way too much stuff. Kimmy got everything put a way where she wants it and then has slowly been decorating the apartment. We have a nice vineyard theme starting in the kitchen, would have never thought that I would live in an apartment that had a theme in it. She is enjoying not having to go to work. I on the other hand am loathing having to go to work but the pay check inspires me.

Just got done reading a book called Snowcrash. It was pretty good and I love the quote that they will listen to reason. Kimmy is currently tearing through a new series, Lemony Snicket’s series of unfortunate events. She loves them, not as much as Harry Potter mind you, and from the snippets she read to me they sound pretty funny. Oh speaking of Harry Potter, she has figured out who RAB is which has made her enourmusly happy.

And in other news, I have gotten Kim hooked on the Sims once more, this time I got her the expansion pack Makin Magic. She really loves it, and spends more time pushing the keyboards buttons than mine. I have to admit that I play the Sims a lot too but I try not to, its just so addictive, like electronic crack. The sad thing is that you really don’t accomplish much in the game, you just micro manage someone’s life. Oh well, besides playing the Sims I have worked out, mostly at work, the java script that is going to make me a nice navigable picture album for the massive amount of pictures that I have taken with my digital camera. Digital camera’s are fun but man do you end up taking a lot of pictures.
