Damn You Kikkoman!!

Well I had my first dinner flop, tried to make stir-fry and it didn’t go over well. I added way to much stir-fry sauce, and boy howdy was it salty. But oh well thank goodness there are other things in the fridge to eat. It also kind of finishes out a horrid day. Four day weekends are rough mainly because you have to come back to work, and man its hard coming back to work.

So I had a four day weekend, and it was wonderful. Kim and I spent a stuffed weekend at the Hotel Valencia on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Laid around a ton and watched a ton of TV. I forgot how much I miss TV. We also ate a lot of Mexican food; in fact we ate a lot in general. Food is so good when you don’t have to cook. Hell even the wedding cake turned out good. All in all it was a really good first anniversary.

Well I have some burnt cookies to take care of, cooking is just not my forte tonight.

Hero

Wow, 2 blogs in a night from Kimmy. Has anybody seen this movie? If you haven’t, please see it. There are subtitles in it, but watch it for the beautiful scenes. With the subtitles being there, I was more in tune what was going on. Sometimes in an action movie, you don’t pay attention to the dialogue because you are so focused on the movements. Having to read the subtitles, I knew the storyline and payed attention. But the colors and music in this movie was just phenomenal. Probably one of my favorite scenes, is the scene in green. I wished I would have watched the special features, and find out what each color symbolized. Some of the colors are self-explanatory. Red - jealousy, Black - death, etc. I know some of the fighting is that weird kind of stuff like in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but in this movie I didn’t mind it that much. The story reminded Russ and I kind of a Romeo and Juliet story line. But we highly recommend this movie - beautiful.

New Season shows

Kimmy blogging here, did anybody watch the new show “Surface” on Monday night? This is going to be a cool show, another show to add to our list. Monday nights will be “Surface”, Tuesday nights will be “House,” Wednesday will be “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “Lost”. (Hope those two shoes aren’t on at the same time.) Thursday night will be “Alias, ” and Friday night will be good old Hollywood video. “Surface” looks likes its going to be a very intense show. I like those kind of books of the creatures of the mysterious deep. If anybody else does, a really good book is, Meg by Steve Alten. I think they even did a bad movie based on the book. I haven’t read his latest book, but it looks like it may be good - Meg: Primal Waters. So if you didn’t watch Surface, I think its going to be a good show.

Proging Pains!

So Sahara may not have had a really deep plot, but man it as sure fun to watch. It had everything I need in a movie: guns, military equipment, chases, and explosions. So thats what Kimmy and I did tonight, we kicked it back and watched a movie and had some baked zita. I am a little scared because Kimmy has been cooking a lot more. I think she may be up to something. Speaking of up to somethings, we are approaching our one year anniversery. If that doesn’t scare people I don’t know what will.

Also I am trying to get a job with the college of education down at good old SWT. So if anyone knows some one that knows some one. . . . pull some freaking strings and get me a job. My employment with IBM is coming to a fast close and I would like to jump ship before it crashes into the metaphorical iceburg of outsourcing and drags us all down into davey jones deep locker of unemployment, or worse India.

Work has been fun though, I got to reimage a computer and man is that ever fun.
