Well Christmas has come and gone and I survived!!
Actually Christmas wasn’t that bad. Kimmy and I headed up to Gtown and visited the family from Friday to Sunday. We ate a lot, got a lot of wonderful gifts, and had a lot fun (despite my skepticism). The neat thing was that it didn’t really feel like Christmas till Christmas morning. We started our day at 5:45 a.m. which is way to early. We ended up at Marc and Michelle’s about 8:00 a.m. and I was promptly hugged by our little ringbearer Cade who was having a Christmas overload. He is hooked on Thomas the Train, and every gift that he opened he had to play with it right away. I thought he was going to explode from the excitement. Then we headed to my parents house where we opened more gifts and ate and ate. Then we headed over to Daddy A’s house to open some more gifts. Stopped off at Wendy’s to say Hi! and then headed home. I love coming home and falling into that big bed of ours and sleeping. It was a good Christmas.
So far the gift I am really looking forward to is Civ IV. However our little old computer is not quite fast enough to run it so I am looking for some good excuses to upgrade. Kimmy said if I would graduate I might get one for a graduation present.
And lastly, I learned how to bowl and almost broke 100 for the score, my arm is a little sore from bowling Monday night but it was fun. So there is my Christmas injury, bowlers arm.
And just because it aggrivates Stacie, I once again avoided watching its a Wonderful Life.

Kim here. School is over with for the semester, yah! Made a 97 on my I.D. final, that’s good. By the way did I mention that I hate Christmas Shopping?? It’s fun, but when you go to a very popular store, people are just rude. Some little old today just pushed her basket in front of me, and didn’t even bother to say, “Excuse me!” Sometimes I wish people would just slow down during the holiday season. I think everyone finally gets to relax come Christmas Eve. Oh no, I don’t relax until late Christmas Eve. Being in the choir at church, also can add a little pressure. This year for Christmas Eve mass, I am doing my mom’s solo - Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song) by Amy Grant. I had choir practice tonight, and had to go over it. Always so nerve racking to get up in front of a congregation of people. But for some reason, with this song, I just feel more relaxed. Don’t know if momma is watching over me, but it all just feels easy. Well off to dreamland and to having nightmares of not getting someone a gift or the stores not having the gifts I want.

Well Kimmy had her one and only final today, and I got to go to work. Hmm I think I need to go back to school because this work stuff is just unnatural. That and they still haven’t told us when our contract expires so I am still employed for the 1st or 2nd quarter of the New Year.
And tonight I am stuck at the apartment all by myself. Kimmy has choir practice and is probably right now as I type in Georgetown doing some Christmas shopping. Speaking of; boy did I get her a good gift this year. Not as good as the keyboard from last year, but IBM hasn’t given me a Christmas bonus, but I think she will like it. I would show everyone what it is but since she is one of the two people who read this blog it will have to wait till after Christmas. So as I was saying I am all alone. I could go shopping for food since we are currently running out or I could keep playing GTA: Vice City. It is such a fun game, don’t have to think to hard, full of mindless violence, and I am now fireproof. There is much goodness in being fireproof. Speaking of mindless violence my friend Robert is in France and you should go check out his blog. He is much more interesting than me.
And even more mindless violence, a few friends and I are currently in a D&D campaign where they are all pirates. There is something inherently fun about being a pirate. Like pillaging and saying arrggh!. And the only thing that pirates have to worry about are ninjas, who are the natural enemies of pirates. And lastly on mindless violence, the foot ball team for SWT was so close to the playoffs this year but the quarterback fubared it up and threw an interception during the first overtime so no playoffs for them (which makes me sad).
And finally to wrap this up…I normally hate Christmas Carols but I bought a cd by Trans Siberian Orchestra and I have to admit that I really like them. In fact they have the glorious honor of being the only cd in my car.

Its really, really cold outside right now. The great thing is that I don’t have to show up to work till 10:00 a.m. and if we are lucky work will just close today because traffic is shaping up to be an utter and complete nightmare.
Hmm as I am typing this I am listening to the news and they just had a commercial on complaining about tripple digit temperatures…sometimes people are dumb and its funny. Well my feet are cold, just wanted to show everyone that it does get cold here sometimes.

Kimmy is now signed on to do her own blogging, so the public can now read her posts. Can you believe I have already been back to school for a semester, and its already gone? I had a presentation to do in Basic ID class, and that is done. For Drafting, have to go back on the 13th (last day of finals) to complete a drawing in 3 hours. I will have to draw fast. At least this time we don’t have to print, we just turn in our finals. By the way did I mention that I hate perspective drawings, ahh!
Well did anybody see that Jennifer Garner had her baby, supposedly the name is Violet. Its Ben Affleck’s baby, eew! I bet anything that the tabloids will come back, and say, “Oh my gosh, that’s not Ben’s baby, its Michael Vartan’s baby!” Don’t know who out there is an Alias fan, but I am glad they made the announcement that this is the last season. Its not doing good this season, probably cause they killed off Vaughn on the first episode and the new actors stink. But this week, Sark will be on. I bet Stacie is happy her man is on!
If you read Russell’s two posts for today, we broke our first plate and its Christmas in our apartment. Tomorrow I will go up to G’town and decorate for my dad. That will take an entire day, no pre-lit tree.
Laters.
