And Hook Em Horns…

And I forgot to mention Hook Em Horns, my baby blond sister is going to UT’s school of Law.

Pulling a Meredith and the State of the Union.

Tonight Kimmy pulled a Meredith, that’s all I can say about it.

Also tonight we watched the State of the Union speech on ABC. There are two things that drew my attention. The first was how divided of a house America is. It saddens me and bothers me. And yet politically I am divided, I am not a Republican (the main reason for that is a highway in Alaska) and I am not a Democrat (stupid culture war, get over it). Right now I lean more Democratic but am proud to say that I will vote for John McCain any day. The second thing that I noticed during the speech was that when President Bush was speaking on earmark reform one of the few people who clapped was Senator John McCain.

Earmark reform is very important to me. I don’t care how much taxes are cut and credited and I don’t care how many programs are cut and eliminated, when it comes down to it earmarks are destroying America by ballooning the deficit and screwing future generations. We are obligated to leave America a better place and more financially sound than we found it. People who are not willing to pay 20 percent of there taxes with no questions asked and take care of the environment are assholes and Un-American, businesses that won’t pay 20 percent of their earnings should be kicked out of the country (and there are a lot of businesses that don’t pay their far share).

Well that’s my political rant for the year, and if it sounds bitter and pessimistic just remember Kimmy pulled a Meredith and looked cute, sexy, and beautiful while doing it.

Kingdom Hearts - Expert Level

Kimmy here! If you haven’t read the title - yes, I beat Kingdom Hearts and right before school started. I got bored so I am now on the Expert Level and at the End of the World. Kind of sad that I started the Expert Level just last Friday and I am almost done again. Evil sister Jennifer. Supposedly there is an extra scene with the special movie at the end.

But for those that are wondering, yes I do have a life outside of Kingdom Hearts. Still at school, and in my second semester. Taking Manual Drafting II (should be an interesting semester), Housing and the environment (FUN!), and Design Development (Going to be so easy.). I talked with the advisor and got my schedule fixed. I should be able to finish Spring 2008. Yay, earlier than I expected. Still debating if I want to walk again or not. We shall see. Russell is at school with me this semester. Its nice to have him around. He should finish his German 4 class. He’s also talking about taking his GRE soon, and started Grad School in the fall. Lo and behold, TXState has a Masters program in History. They were talking about doing a program in Philosophy, but he is going to stick with History.

Today is Friday so we had a night at home. Made some taco soup (yum…) for dinner and rented 2 movies. Hercules, cause we have never seen it and Flightplan. Flightplan was interesting. At first we thought it was one of those Sixth Sense kind of movies, but its not. I won’t give away the ending for those that have not seen it. But if you want twisted, action kind of movie, not bad of a movie. Jodie Foster is always a good actress.

By the way if anybody knows of any part-time jobs around South Austin - San Marcos area, I am looking for something to work with my schedule. Its strange this semester.

Laters.

Its so pretty, I want one.

Its so pretty with the flames and the ability to support two graphic cards of 512 MB with each having a graphic card of 512 MB slaved to it. I must have one, I want to touch it, I want to possess it, I want to watch it play video and games at the speed of 2 gigs. Must have, (Russell commences with the drooling.)

Okay I am better know. And Happy Friday by the way. Kimmy and I are sitting at home enjoying a lazy Friday evening. We just got done watching Hercules the movie and it was kind of neat. We had to get it because neither one of us had ever seen it; and because Hercules is in one of the worlds of Kingdom Hearts (my wife’s crack habbit). It was pretty funny, probaby wouldn’t have gone to see it in the thearters but not a bad home movie.

Class also going well for me. I am slowly remembering my deutsche. Its little painful and a little unsteady but getting better. I also really enjoy being back on campus. I also found out this week that SWT has a masters program in history so I am going to try for that in the fall. UT has a masters program in history but you have to apply a year in advanced. So either SWT or UT it looks like I will be in school for years to come. The other funny thing about school is that I feel really old. There are all these young kids crowding the halls and the quads, there are also a lot of girls which it is really weird being around females my own age. Although none are as pretty as Kimmy.

And strangely enough Kimmy isn’t on Kingdom Hearts she is working on a wall design for my mother. It is looking beautiful so far, I will have to get a picture of it once it is painted above the stove at my mom’s house.

Well that sums Friday up nicely (the only other thing I did was to go to HEB) and the rest of the week was just the same old same old so I think I am going to sign off and grab the playstation while I can.

I am free from my cube and it rained.

Well right now I am writing this to yall from good ol’ SWT. I am enrolled in a german IV class (the last one I need to get my diploma) and am currently free from the clutches of work. Its nice to get out every once in a while to go do other things. And to make it better its cold, I love the cold weather beats the snot out of having to sweat to death. Speaking of sweat and hot it also finally rained so Texas is no longer in danger of spontaneously combusting.

All in all today is good. Now if I could just figure out a way to get Kimmy off the playstation life would be great.
