Well its almost midnight and my restless mind is keeping me awake. It might be because I got to sit on my butt at the Factory instead of slaving away at Pinkie. It might also be the massive amount of meat that my stomach is currently digesting with great audible vigor. Whatever the reason, Kimmy is asleep after enjoying a nice steak dinner (okay an average but still good steak dinner) and I am awake and sitting in front of my computer surfing the web, which can sometimes be akin to swimming through sewage, and writing persistent run on sentences.
Fishing the web finds me interesting things , actually the internet is full of crap but occasionally you find some nice delectable morsel, and one of these wonderful things is Gmail and bountiful run on sentences. And my Gmail has the irksome yet amusing habit of running daily web clips. And it always seems that the quote of the day makes it into these web clips.
One of my most favorite quotes is by the man on the hundred - Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. I find myself thinking a lot on this quote; in fact odds are I will think of it at least once. As a watch the war on terror, the news, that bastard Bill O’Rilley, politicians passing laws, and compose gratuitous run on sentences, I find my mind always wandering back to this quote. Then inevitably the great quote from Star Wars Episode III - this is how liberty dies, to thunderous applause.
And it maybe me but sometimes when I am up late and pondering the future, I swear I can hear clapping.

Well it has been a while since I have last updated and I do have a really good excuse, today was the first day in the last two weeks that I haven’t been at the office. We have finally left the Pink Building and are now in the Bread Factory. It doesn’t smell like bread or look like a factory but it is whole lot better than Pinkie, unless you live down in the marsh where its hot and the roof leaks.
So for the last two weeks I have been moving a bunch of crap, and monitors. We have so many freaking monitors.
Leaving Pinkie was a bit sad. When we finally shoved all the people out and stripped the desks they looked really empty; and in a way unfullfilled. This unfullfillment was rather depressing. That and the fact they were going to be uprooted and shoved into a storage unit. It was if sum horribly ugly steel forest has been sentenced to death. Its really ugly so it has to go but at the same time you feel sorry for them. But not the monitors, I freaking hate monitors. And I was glad when we slammed the u-haul closed on those freaking heavy back killing monsters. I look forward to HAL crushing them for 19 cents a pound.
Speaking of back breaking labor, Kimmy celebrated her 26th birthday today and made out like a bandit. Nearly pulled my back hauling all of her loot up the stairs; it was either that or the massive amount of bar - b - que sitting in my belly. Just ask Mr. Huba or Mr. Rogers how good it was, I have heard that the ribs were orgasmic, and could quite possibly help me pass legislation in the future.
Well I am tired from all the work I have been doing and the bar - b - que so I am going to drag Kimmy off to bed and maybe eat some birthday cake. Because cake is awsome and can solve all of the world’s problems. Well cake and the orgasmic ribs. So eat some ribs, have some cake, or work yourself to your delerious with fatigue and overtime pay and be merry. And if its your birthday, have a happy one OR a very merry un-birthday to you.

Kimmy here. Yes by the title, I am taking Summer School. Taking a class called History of Furnishings and we just got done learning about Rome. One of my most favorite periods in History. Here is a website with some interesting tidbits that you may have not known about. For example, did you know that Romans had over 200 holidays in 1 year? That is like half the year there. Also the Coliseum we see today in Rome, it was once a complete circle. Some girl mentioned in class, that once rivers flowed under the coliseum and they would have battles between ships going on. Otherwise the summer is going okay. Summer school just started last week and it for the 1st session only. We are going through different periods of history and talking about architecture and furnishings found in that period. So far we have covered Prehistoric, Egyptian, Mesopatamia, Greece and Rome. We started Byzantine today. Going through it very fast, but its all fun. I have completed my quest on Kingdom Hearts 2 - the Expert Level (Proud Mode). It didn’t take as long as the Standard Mode which was I think 104 hours. So now that its over, I am on the mission of working on my managing skills in Rollercoaster Tycoon. Getting better, making a lot of money on these little rinky dink parks. Nothing much else going on, the big 26 is coming up soon, and I am dreading it. Two more years closer to a high school reunion, and four years away from 30. Aaah, to make it all even better those stupid little white hairs are getting longer! Here is a picture to prove it, this was taken at Master Cade’s birthday party last weekend.

Lazy is often a word I hear that is used to describe me; in all honesty its a perfectly correct description. I like being leisurely, I enjoy rest, and for some freaky reason I never seem to have a laidback peaceful weekend. This weekend was no exception, no idleness but lots of fun.
To start with Friday I finally crawl home through all of the traffic, have a wonderful dinner prepared by my wonderful wife. Then its back out to the videostore to rent a movie. This weekend it was Fun with Dick & Jane. The movie was funny, but in all honesty I have to admit that the ending credit were hysterical. I liked their special thanks session.
On Saturday we had Master Cade’s birthday party. He turned three and had a whole passel of friends come out to Berry Creek Park in Georgetown. It was fun but incredibly hot. Then that evening we had dinner with the Broddricks, watched Cade play with his toys. Then after that it was on over to Nick’s to hang out with the friends. Then finally it was off to home to get some well needed sleep.
Sunday we didn’t do much and since everything is a re-run we rented Hidalgo. I enjoyed watching it. I especially liked the horse. The horse was awsome. Viggo Mortensen was a close second.
In other crazy news this week the office is moving. I found out this morning that I am expected to help and that we will be working Friday to start the move. I will be at the office from 9 till 2 and thats 2 A.M. not P.M. Whoot 17 hour days are fun. Today at work I also got my first call. It was from a rep who needed to verify something. I was kind of stunned when the phone rang. I had been there 2 weeks and in all honesty was never expecting the phone to ring. She was nice and it turned out that the thing she had been sent wasn’t hers. It took me all of 2 minutes to fix and then 2 hours of being amazed (that the phone rang).
Well thats my exciting Monday and weekend.

B.F. at work showed me something to day that got me drooling. Alienware was releasing a limited edition Superman laptop and desktop. My inner geek instantly demanded that I empty out my bank account and buy them both. I must have them, they are so precious to me. Yes my precious, buy you my precious, of course let me just take out a car loan and get you both my precocious.
Of course the one thing stopping me was Kimmy, till she told me I could buy one. Now the only thing stopping me is responsibility. Being responsible sucks.
Another thing that sucks is our nice neighbours moved out yesterday. They were the quite ones who had the cute dogs. They always said hello and would even stop and chat for a bit. And now they are gone. I would be more sad but I can’t remember their names. Well nice neighbors where ever you are at I hope you have some excellent neighbors and I hope you had movers.
Speaking of responsibility, I am actually starting to do some work at work. Yesterday we had a 500% increase in the amount of work we do. Isn’t that amazing we did that much, of course that means we went from processing 2 requests a day to processing 10 requests. But 500% is 500% and its a more impressive sounding number. Work is still a bit boring though. I know I really shouldn’t complain, in fact I have been told I shouldn’t complain, but I feel a bit guilty because I really don’t do anything. Stupid responsibility and stupid guilt, they should be drug out in the street and be shot.
