In a short time soon, in a mailbox very, very near….

Boba Fett! Boba Fett! Where?I have to admint it; despite George’s attempt to destroy Star Wars I am still in love with the genere. I get all warm and fuzzy on the inside when I see TIE fighters and Lightsabers. I have to sheath my credit card in order to resist buying crap with the mention of Star Wars. Hell I even sat through every opening night for the most 3 recent movies despite irrefutable evidence that George was going to shatter my dreams and pee on them. I love Star Wars, in a manly way … unlike a few of my friends who love Star Wars in a less wholesome, more UnAmerican, barnyard sort of way.

So I am pleased to announce that the USPS is finally releasing Star Wars stamps.

I would like to thank BaldFunGuy for the heads up; he is awesome despite what those jerks at work say. I want you to go to the USPS website and vote for your favorite stamp; which I know is Boba Fett. I want you to buy the stamps on May 26th and mail me stuff (i.e. money) because getting mail with Star Wars stamps is cool and you want to be cool don’t you?

More good news is that work has not killed me yet, taxes are low, my cholesterol is up, and a state government finally realized that DieBold makes a really crappy voting machine. So kudos Massachusetts. Hopefully the courts won’t force you to buy something that is universally regarded as a piece of crap; but then again courts do crazy things like letting women vote.

So its been a while since I have done an update. Lots of stuff has happened, went to work, ate some food, spent some time in the bathroom, helped clean a garage, held a baby, made a kid puke …. I also got an awesome new shirt; raccoons are the real threat. To be honest I don’t feel like writing; had a long day at work and am slowly winding down from that long day. Despite being a long day work is going well; I have a new job function. That function takes up 50% of my time, combine that with my official job (which also takes up 50% of my time) and the tech support that I do (which also takes up 50% of my time) and some how I have figured out how to bend the laws of space and time. I am rather proud of that. I am also proud that I found a dead end queue that customer’s were falling into and I fixed it; rescuing them from endless hold times. Sometimes doing a good job and making a difference can make you feel good.

Something else that is a feel good move is HB2966. It looks like Texas is finally going to take the money ($22.00 per plate) that charities are supposed to get for specialty liscense plate and actually give it to them. So good job Rep. Strama & Rep. Krusee; and I urge you to contact your rep and tell them to support HB2966.

This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then - explode.

A new movie that has made our way into our home library is Serenity. An interesting story, and some of the best one-liners I have heard in a while. The question is now, will we start watching the Firefly series??

My boss recommended this site, would yours?

Check out the website, www.demotivators.com. My favorite is probably Pessism .

The times they are a-changin’

Come gather ’round people /Wherever you roam /And admit that the waters /Around you have grown /And accept it that soon /You’ll be drenched to the bone. / If your time to you /Is worth savin’ /Then you better start swimmin’ / Or you’ll sink like a stone / For the times they are a-changin’. ~ Bob Dylan

So day light savings time (DST) has come early this year and caused more grief than a cat at a dog show. Congress has once again passed legislation to make my life difficult. I had to drag myself to work today and make sure that our geriatric servers were comfortable with DST arriving so early. Thankfully Microsoft grudgingly released a handy little utility called tzedit.exe that makes the necessary registry edit with a handy little GUI. It was a pain to find. If you detest Microsoft like my friend Kit but are still forced to use Windows you can also download it from my site. The handly little program is basically idiot proof; but it is hard to under estimate an idiot. It is in a zip file so it has to be unzipped. All you have to do is run the program. Select which time zone you are in; I am in CST which is -6.00 GMT. For most American who have no clue what GMT is the program luckily refers to the US time zones. If you have no clue what time zone you are in, congratulations you are an idiot. Click the edit button. This opens a new window, all you have to do on this window is change when DST occurs and click OK; if your not sure when DST is you are an idiot. Luckily you have me to remind you that your and idiot and that DST runs from the 2nd Sunday of March to the 1st Sunday of November (unless Congress decides to change it again).

If your a Mac user, stop laughing and I hate you.
