For all the guys out there.

I’m willing to bet that Steve wasn’t the first guy to make this mistake; although it did take him 5500 KM to admit to it.
A Yard update

My Freshly Mown Front Yard
Well it took about a month but I finally had to break down and mow the front yard. There is such a satisfaction in the back and forth conquering of a yard. Being able to see where you’ve been, what you’ve done, what you’ve accomplished and then how much farther you have to go to succeed is all very soothing/satisfying in a way. Of course it would have been more soothing if Texas wasn’t as hot as a football player’s underarm who is running drill son the surface of the sun while wearing a wool jersey. But I digress, the yard is mowed and I enjoyed a content/smug weekend looking at it. Now we just need to decide what to do with that ugly cable box over there on the left, how far back to we want whack the bushes, and what to do with all the wild ivy that is not in the picture. While the ivy is quite pretty it runs rampant like the old USSR and I am certain that if I left it alone long enough it would devoured my yard with a proletariat uprising. So one thing down, only 10,000 more things left to go.

I saw this little gem on a chat channel that I frequent. And if you find it as funny as I do, you are a nerd or a geek. I am not sure which but one of the two.
Pleased as a Peach

Right now I am sitting smug in my front yard watching a $4.00 piece of plastic I got from Lowe’s slowly water my front yard. It’s constat tat-tat-tat is soothing and yet empowering at the same time. Yep I am smug, I actually noticed that the grass was starting to will and that I probably needed to water before anyone else told me. I are a powerful homeowner. Now if only it weren’t so humid I would enjoy my front yard smugness a whole lot more. And in the same moment as I stare at my front yard I feel an over whelming sense of damn there is so much to do.
Step 1) kill all the damn annoying mosquitoes.
Step 2) convince Kimmy she likes to work in the front yard.
Step 3) enjoy my beautiful front yard.
